Blackberry Lemonade

  1. 1. Prepare a simple syrup by combining the sugar and water in a small pot on the stove. Bring to a boil and stir to dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat. Allow to cool completely and then set aside.
  2. 2. Add the blackberries and lemon juice to a blender and blend until the blackberries have pureed.
  3. 3. Strain it into a clear pitcher. You've got to strain it to remove any chunks of blackberries and the seeds.
  4. 4. Add the remaining amount of water to the pitcher. Stir to evenly combine.
  5. 5. Add simple syrup, to taste.
  6. 6. Serve over ice, or chilled, and garnish (if desired) with mint leaves and a blackberry.
