Candied Popcorn!
- 12 cups Popped Plain Popcorn
- 1 can (11oz Or 14 Oz Can) Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 package (3 Oz Package) Flavored Gelatin Mix (Jello) - Any Flavor
- 1. Preheat oven to 300 F. Lay two long sheets of tin foil out on a work surface and grease them or spray with non-stick spray. This is where you'll put the finished popcorn.
- 2. Line a large roasting pan with tin foil, extending the foil over the edges of the pan. Spray foil with cooking spray (or grease pan with margarine or butter).
- 3. Making sure that you have removed all the un-popped corn, place popcorn into the prepared pan.
- 4. Combine sweetened condensed milk and dry gelatin in a medium saucepan.
- 5. Heat and stir on medium-low heat until mixture is thickened and bubbly, about 5 minutes. Make sure that you stir this constantly so the mixture doesn't burn. This is very important!
- 6. Pour mixture over popcorn. Carefully combine mixture using a wooden spoon.
- 7. Bake the popcorn for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
- 8. Turn out the popcorn onto the greased tinfoil sheets. Cool completely and break into clusters.
- 9. Consume in great amounts! You won't be able to help yourself! Store any leftovers in an airtight container for a few days.
