Pick-Your-Beans And Ham Soup
- Leftover Ham And Bone
- Enough Water To Cover Ham
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder, Or 3 Cloves, Minced Fine
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Rosemary, Crumbled
- 1/2 Tablespoons Celery Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Fresh Ground Pepper
- 2 cans (14.5 Oz. Can) Diced, Seasoned Tomatoes
- 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Tomato Soup
- 1 can Each Of Your/The Kids' Favorite Bean(s) (15 Oz. Can)
- Trim your ham of excess fat. Place ham in a stew pot just big enough to fit. Toss in the garlic, rosemary, celery salt and pepper. Add water JUST to cover ham. Bring to a boil, then turn heat to a medium-low setting and let simmer for an hour.
- Remove ham and trim off the bone, shredding or cutting the meat into bite-sized pieces as you go. Strain the ham broth into another pot. Add ham pieces, diced tomatoes, and tomato soup. Simmer at medium-low heat for 30 minutes, then add the beans. Simmer for another 30 minutes.
- Serve with crusty bread, garlic bread or your favorite rolls.
