Vitality Bread
- 1/4 c. oatmeal
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. all-bran (Bran Buds)
- 3 Tbsp. corn meal
- 1 Tbsp. wheat germ
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 3 to 4 c. flour
- Mix the first 9 ingredients.
- Put on low heat until almost boiling; it will get real thick.
- Add 1 cup warm water and 1/2 cup flour; let cool to lukewarm.
- Add this mixture that has been sitting, the yeast and 1/2 cup warm water.
- Add the remaining flour.
- Knead on oiled board until glossy.
- Place in oiled bowl; cover.
- Set in warm place until double in size.
- Punch and knead; put into 3 greased pans.
- Let double.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
