Ham And Asparagus Strata
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 3/4 pounds Asparagus, Trimmed
- 6 whole Eggs
- 1/3 cups Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
- 1/4 teaspoons Kosher Salt
- 1/8 teaspoons Freshly Cracked Pepper
- 3 cups Cubed Baguette Or Day Old Bread
- 6 ounces, weight Diced Cooked Ham
- 2 cups Shredded Sharp White Cheddar Cheese
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Lightly grease an 8 by 8-inch baking dish.
- Heat butter in a medium-sized skillet over medium high heat. Add asparagus. Saute until tender, making sure the butter doesn't burn. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine eggs, milk, and mustard. Add salt and pepper. Whisk until combined.
- Pour the bread in the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle the ham on top of the bread. Pour the egg mixture over the ham and bread. Arrange the asparagus on top of the ham and sprinkle with the cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Serve warm.
