Fruit Cake

  1. Combine first four ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Add next 4 ingredients, blending well.
  3. Stir together orange juice and corn syrup; add to crumb mixture.
  4. Blend until moistened.
  5. Press firmly into an 8 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 2 1/4-inch loaf pan, lined with aluminum foil; cover tightly.
  6. Store at least 2 days in refrigerator before serving.
  7. Makes one 8-inch loaf.
  8. Cake will keep several weeks in refrigerator.
