Chicken And Broccoli Braid
- 2 c. diced, cooked chicken meat
- 1 c. fresh chopped broccoli
- 1/2 c. red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 2 tsp. dried dill weed
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. diced onion
- 1 egg white, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. blanched slivered almonds
- 2 (8 oz.) pkg. refrigerated crescent rolls
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- In large bowl, combine chicken, broccoli, bell pepper, garlic, cheese, mayonnaise, dill, salt, almond and onion.
- Unroll crescent rolls onto a baking sheet; lay horizontally.
- Press the perforations in the dough to create a solid sheet.
- Arrange mixture horizontally down center of dough. Using a knife, cut vertical lines every 3-inches from the center (strips should remain attached to center).
- Lift right and left strips opposite one another to make a braid; twist once and pinch together.
- Brush with egg white.
- Bake 25 to 28 minutes until golden brown.
