Sunflower Almond Granola
- 4 cups Whole Grain Rolled Oats
- 1/2 cups Ground Flax
- 3/4 cups Sunflower Seeds
- 1/2 cups Sliced Almonds
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spice (or Cloves/nutmeg)
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- 1/3 cups Vegetable Oil
- 1/3 cups Honey
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoons Almond Extract
- 1. Preheat oven to 250F.
- 2. Mix together oats, flax, sunflower seeds, almonds, and spices.
- 3. Whisk together sugar, oil, honey, salt, vanilla, and almond extract.
- 4. Incorporate wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Use your hands if needed. The consistency should be still fairly dry but holding together loosely.
- 5. Spread evenly on 2 large greased baking sheets (Pam is fine).
- 6. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring the granola every 15 minutes to ensure even baking and color.
- Let cool, store in an airtight container, and enjoy!
