Frozen Key Lime Dessert
- 1-3/4 cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
- 1/4 cups Melted Butter
- 1/4 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1-3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 package 8oz Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
- 1 can Sweetened, Condensed Milk - 14-ounce Can
- 2 Tablespoons Lime Zest
- 2 cups Whipping Cream
- 4 Tablespoons Powdered (Confectioners) Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Lime Zest (optional)
- 1 whole Lime, Sliced Thin, For Garnishing
- Mix the graham cracker crumbs, butter, granulated sugar and salt together and pat into the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Place in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cream the powdered sugar and cream cheese together. Dollop over the frozen crust and spread with an offset spatula. Spread gently so as to not disturb the crumb crust underneath.
- Mix the lime juice, condensed milk and zest together and whisk well. Pour over the cream cheese layer and then place in freezer for about 30 minutes.
- In a chilled bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until slightly thickened. Add in the 4 Tablespoons of powdered sugar and continue beating until nearly stiff, but not grainy.
- Spread over the frozen lime mixture, garnish with limes and zest.
- Freeze for about 2 hours, or until firm.
