Speedy Lasagna
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 3 1/2 c. Italian tomato sauce or 1 (30 oz.) jar Prego sauce
- 8 oz. cooked lasagna noodles
- 1 pt. canned tomatoes
- 2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 c. cottage cheese (optional)
- 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- Brown the ground chuck in a medium saucepan.
- Drain off fat. Add tomatoes, Italian seasoning, sugar and tomato sauce.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Cook lasagna noodles.
- Spread about half of the sauce in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Top with half of the noodles.
- Combine the cheeses.
- Top noodles with half of the cheese and more sauce.
- Repeat layers ending with sauce.
- Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 minutes or until bubbly.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
