Carrot Chowder

  1. Brown hamburger or ground turkey. Add salt. Saute chopped celery, green pepper, onion, grated carrots, garlic, pepper, marjoram and sugar together in 2 tablespoons of oil for 10 minutes. Combine hamburger and vegetable mixture, then add tomato juice and water. Bring to a boil; simmer. Thoroughly blend or whisk cream of celery soup, then add to the mixture. Cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  2. Serve with grated Swiss cheese.
