Chunky Corn Chowder
- 1/4 cups Bacon Or Other Slightly Fatty Pork
- 1 whole Large Onion, Chopped
- 1 cup Coarsely Chopped Celery
- 2 whole Large Potatoes, Peeled And Chopped
- 2 cups Water
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Dill Weed
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 12 ounces, fluid Evaporated Milk (large Can)
- 1 can Whole-kernel Corn (approx. 12 Oz.), Undrained
- 2 cans Cream-style Corn (8 Oz. Cans)
- 1 package Hot Dogs, Sliced
- Saute bacon/pork slowly until almost crisp; push to one side. Stir onion and celery into drippings; saute until soft. Stir in potatoes, water, dill weed, and salt. Heat to boiling. Cover and simmer for about 12 minutes or till potatoes are tender.
- Stir in evaporated milk, whole-kernel corn and liquid, cream-style corn, and hot dogs. Heat slowly, stirring several times, just to boiling.
