Baker'S Sweet Chocolate Igloo Dessert
- 1 Tbsp. gelatin, softened in 1/4 c. cold water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 c. milk
- 1 pkg. Baker's German's sweet chocolate
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 egg whites
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 pkg. devil's food cake mix
- 1 c. whipping cream
- chocolate curls
- Soften gelatin in water.
- Combine 1/3 cup sugar, salt and milk in medium saucepan.
- Add Baker's German's sweet chocolate.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is completely melted.
- Blend mixture well with eggbeater.
- Add small amount of hot mixture to 3 slightly beaten egg yolks, stirring vigorously.
- Gradually add remaining hot mixture, stirring constantly.
- Return to saucepan and cook over low heat until mixture is slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat. Add softened gelatin and stir until dissolved.
- Pour into a large bowl and chill until partially thickened.
- Stir in vanilla.
