Slow Cooker Bbq Sauce
- 4-1/2 cups All-natural Ketchup
- 2 cups Water
- 1-1/4 cup Brown Sugar, Packed
- 1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 cup Worcestershire Sauce
- 3/4 cups Onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cups All-natural Yellow Mustard
- 4 whole Fresh Garlic Cloves, Peeled And Minced
- 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 5 slices Fresh Organic Lemon
- 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke (optional)
- Combine all ingredients in a crockpot or slow cooker. Cook on high for 3 hours, then reduce to low and cook for additional 2 hours.
- Notes:
- 1. You can use an immersion hand blender to smooth out the sauce, if desired.
- 2. Makes 10 cups. Leftovers will stay fresh in the refrigerator for months.
