Five Spice Cranberry Oatmeal

  1. Add water, milk, salt, and cranberries to a small pot over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, then simmer until cranberries burst, about 2 minutes.
  2. Reduce heat to medium or medium-low. Add the oats and spices and cook until the oatmeal absorbs the liquid, 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, then sweeten to taste.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with half-and-half.
