Five Spice Cranberry Oatmeal
- 1 cup Water
- 1/2 cups Milk Of Choice
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 cups Fresh Or Frozen Cranberries
- 1/2 cups Rolled (old Fashioned) Oats
- 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Ginger
- 1 pinch Ground Nutmeg
- 1 pinch Ground Cloves
- 1 pinch Ground Cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Half-and-half For Serving
- Add water, milk, salt, and cranberries to a small pot over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, then simmer until cranberries burst, about 2 minutes.
- Reduce heat to medium or medium-low. Add the oats and spices and cook until the oatmeal absorbs the liquid, 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, then sweeten to taste.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with half-and-half.
