Sweet And Sour Pork
- 2 lb. pork cubes
- 1 cucumber, peeled and sliced thin
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes, quartered
- 2 medium green peppers, cut in squares
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of cayenne
- 1 Tbsp. Accent
- 1 tsp. cornstarch in 2 Tbsp. water
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 4 Tbsp. salad oil
- Cut up vegetables and set aside; combine in small bowl the vinegar, sugar, salt, cayenne and Accent and set aside also. Brown garlic in hot oil; stir-fry pork in garlic until well done. Add vegetables and stir-fry for about 1 minute.
- Add sauce and stir, then cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Stir in cornstarch paste and cook until sauce thickens.
- Do not overcook.
- Serve with rice.
