White Chocolate And Cranberry Scones
- 1-3/4 cup Flour
- 1/4 cups Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 2-1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 5 Tablespoons Butter, Cold And Cut Small Squares
- 3 Tablespoons Milk
- 3 Tablespoons Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/2 cups White Chocolate Pieces
- 1 whole Egg
- 1/2 cups Craisins
- 1/8 cups Butter, Melted
- 3 Tablespoons Sugar Sprinkles/or Sanding Sugar
- 1. Use a pastry cutter to mix the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and cold butter.
- 2. Add remaining ingredients (except melted butter and sanding sugar) and stir until combined, and then knead for 1 minute until everything is well combined.
- 3. Divide dough in half and create 2 small rounds. Flatten each round to about 8 inches, and then cut each round into 8 wedges (cut like you would a pizza) for 16 total pieces.
- 4. Place wedges on a baking stone, or Silplat-covered pan. (You can also use a greased baking sheet, but watch these closely for browning bottoms.)
- 5. Brush each scone lightly with butter, and sprinkle with sanding sugar. (I like Wilton's Clear Sparkling Sprinkles.)
- 6. Bake for 12-14 minutes in a 400-degree oven.
