White Chocolate And Cranberry Scones

  1. 1. Use a pastry cutter to mix the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and cold butter.
  2. 2. Add remaining ingredients (except melted butter and sanding sugar) and stir until combined, and then knead for 1 minute until everything is well combined.
  3. 3. Divide dough in half and create 2 small rounds. Flatten each round to about 8 inches, and then cut each round into 8 wedges (cut like you would a pizza) for 16 total pieces.
  4. 4. Place wedges on a baking stone, or Silplat-covered pan. (You can also use a greased baking sheet, but watch these closely for browning bottoms.)
  5. 5. Brush each scone lightly with butter, and sprinkle with sanding sugar. (I like Wilton's Clear Sparkling Sprinkles.)
  6. 6. Bake for 12-14 minutes in a 400-degree oven.
