Veal Mozzarella
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 1/4 c. cooking oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 lb. veal cutlets, cut thin
- 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. white wine
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. marjoram
- 4 oz. pkg. Mozzarella
- Combine egg, milk and salt.
- Dip cutlets in mixture and then into bread crumbs.
- Brown in cooking oil.
- Remove meat to shallow baking dish.
- Saute onion and green pepper in skillet used for meat.
- Stir in tomato sauce, wine, spices and herbs; simmer 10 minutes.
- Pour sauce over cutlets.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes. Cut cheese in slices and place over meat.
- Return to oven until cheese melts (2 to 3 minutes).
