Pumpkin Spiced Candied Nuts
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 2 Tablespoons Pumpkin Pie Spice
- 3 cups Nuts Of Your Choice, Walnuts, Pecans, Almonds, Etc.
- In a medium sauce pan, create a simple syrup with the sugar and water. Heat over medium high heat until it begins to boil. Whisk in pumpkin pie spice.
- Once the syrup has been created, stir in chopped nuts of your choice.
- Turn the heat down to medium (or to whatever heat keeps the syrup boiling), and stir the nuts and syrup together until all of the moisture has evaporated. Crystals will just begin to form on the nuts and the mixture will be very thick.
- Turn off the heat and turn all of the nuts out on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Allow to cool and break apart any nuts that have stuck together.
- Devour when cool. Use as topping for ice cream, cakes, or put into a dish and serve as a snack.
