Black Walnut And Chocolate Pound Cake

  1. Cream butter, shortening and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Sift flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt together 3 times.
  4. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
  5. Stir in black walnut extract and chocolate. Fold in walnuts.
  6. Pour into well-greased tube pan.
  7. Bake at 275u0b0 for 1 hour and 55 minutes.
  8. Do not open oven door during baking time.
  9. Cool in pan for several minutes.
  10. Invert onto serving plate.
  11. Yield:
  12. 16 servings.
