Raspberry Bavarian

  1. Place hot water in 2-cup measure.
  2. Microwave at High for 2 to 2 3/4 minutes or until water boils.
  3. Place gelatin in medium mixing bowl.
  4. Stir in boiling water.
  5. Stir to dissolve gelatin. Mix in cold water.
  6. Chill until gelatin is soft set, about 1 hour. Place raspberries in 1-quart casserole.
  7. Cover.
  8. Microwave at 50% (Medium) for 3 to 5 minutes or until raspberries are defrosted, stirring once.
  9. Reserve 6 whole berries for garnishing, if desired.
  10. Stir raspberries into gelatin.
  11. Set aside.
  12. Place egg white in small mixing bowl.
  13. Beat at high speed of an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  14. Fold into gelatin mixture.
  15. Fold 1 cup whipped topping into gelatin mixture.
  16. Spoon into each of 6 stemmed glasses or dessert dishes.
  17. Top evenly with remaining 1/2 cup whipped topping.
  18. Garnish with raspberries.
  19. Serve immediately or chill for 1 hour for firmer texture.
  20. Makes 6 servings.
