Potato And Sweet Potato Gratin
- 1/2 pounds Sliced Sweet Potatoes
- 1/2 pounds Sliced Potatoes
- 1 cup Cream
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 cup Shredded Pecorino Romano Cheese
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2. In a casserole dish, layer half of the sliced sweet potatoes and potatoes.
- 3. Sprinkle with one tablespoon butter and 1/2 cup shredded cheese.
- 4. Pour the cream over the ingredients and season with salt and pepper.
- 5. Layer the remaining potatoes, butter, cream, seasoning, and cheese.
- 6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
- 7. Remove the aluminum foil, press the potatoes under the liquid and bake for an additional 35 - 45 minutes or until potatoes are tender and the cheese has browned on top.
