Potato And Sweet Potato Gratin

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. 2. In a casserole dish, layer half of the sliced sweet potatoes and potatoes.
  3. 3. Sprinkle with one tablespoon butter and 1/2 cup shredded cheese.
  4. 4. Pour the cream over the ingredients and season with salt and pepper.
  5. 5. Layer the remaining potatoes, butter, cream, seasoning, and cheese.
  6. 6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  7. 7. Remove the aluminum foil, press the potatoes under the liquid and bake for an additional 35 - 45 minutes or until potatoes are tender and the cheese has browned on top.
