Pretzel Wreaths
- 12 ounces, weight Bag Of Holiday Pretzel Rings (Old Dutch And Rold Gold Make These)
- 12 ounces, weight Bag Of Hershey's Chocolate Kisses (any Variety)
- 12 ounces, weight Bag Of Holiday M&Ms, Any Variety
- Line up the pretzel rings on a baking sheet. I use nonstick pans, but it probably doesn't matter. I try to make sure the pretzels are right side up and not to use any that are chipped.
- Remove wrapper from Kisses and place one Kiss in the middle of each pretzel. Perfect for kids to do.
- Note: one bag of Kisses will fill a full sheet pan, with 25 Kisses left over. Use leftover/broken pretzels to make Strawberry Pretzel Dessert (for which I have found many recipes here on Tasty Kitchen) so nothing goes to waste.
- Bake in a preheated 200F oven. The Kisses won't look different (maybe a little shiny looking) as they keep their form when melted. So be sure not to over bake them. Five minutes really should be the perfect length.
- Put baking sheet on potholders as you will be working right on this hot pan. Remind kids not to touch the pan. Ouch!
- Place one M&M on top of a Kiss (one at a time) and smoosh it down into the chocolate. Not so far that the M&M gets covered, but just enough to force the Kiss to fill up the ring and the M&M to be secure (peek at the attached blog post link to see what I mean).
- Put the pan in the fridge so the Kisses can cool and harden. When set, just use a skinny metal spatula to pop them off the tray. No special storage needed, I just pop them in a bowl and leave uncovered. Share with friends.
- Flavor idea: try white Kisses with mint M&Ms.
- Tip: the pretzel rings are usually not found with the regular pretzels. Most stores have them at the end of an aisle with a holiday baking display. They have also been found at Aldi stores.
- Disclaimer: I have no idea how many servings this makes, I just chose the largest number available.
- Alternate version: use skinny pretzel sticks, white chocolate Kisses, and only yellow M&Ms to make Bacon & Eggs.
