Vikki’S Apple Crisp
- 4 cups Peeled And Chopped Apples
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 2/3 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1-1/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 1-1/2 cup Oatmeal
- 1/2 cups Softened Margarine / Butter
- 1. Preheat the oven to 375F.
- 2. In an 9x9 pan, mix together the lemon juice, apples and cinnamon.
- 3. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, oatmeal and margarine/butter to form a crumb-textured mixture.
- 4. Top the fruit with the crumb mixture and tap it down gently. (My family likes a lot of topping; you may want to use less topping.)
- 5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes. The top with become brown and firm, while the filing will have a syrup that is bubbling around the edges.
- 6. Let cool slightly and serve. This goes really well with a vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
