Polka Dot Cookies
- 1/2 c. corn oil margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- Cream margarine and sugars.
- Blend in egg and vanilla.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
- Add alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in chocolate pieces, cherries and nuts.
- Place rounded teaspoonfuls of dough on greased baking sheets.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
