Beef And Bean Chili

  1. 1. In a large soup pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and saute 5 minutes, or until onions are translucent.
  2. 2. Add chili powder, oregano, cumin, crushed red pepper, and cinnamon and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly to coat onion/garlic with spices.
  3. 3. Add ground beef and stir to brown the meat, approximately 3 minutes.
  4. 4. Add tomato sauce, water, and beans. Season with salt to taste and bring to a boil.
  5. 5. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 3o minutes stirring often, or until thickened and bubbly.
  6. 6. Sprinkle shredded cheese of your choice over the top to serve. I like mozzarella or pepper jack for a bit of heat.
