Chocolate Fudge Brownies
- 1-2/3 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 stick Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Water
- 4 ounces, weight Bakers Unsweetened Chocolate
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1-1/3 cup Flour
- 1/4 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- Chopped Nuts (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 pan.
- Microwave the sugar, butter, and water until bubbly, stirring once. Add the chocolate and stir until completely melted. Stir in the eggs one at a time, stirring well after each one. Stir in the vanilla, add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir well. Stir in nuts, if using (I like chopped pecans).
- Pour batter into pan. Now the fun starts; you can leave it alone (they're the bomb plain), or add nuts, milk chocolate chips, or swirl in cream cheese, or peanut butter.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Go hide in the closet and enjoy.
