Mocha Fudge Pudding Cake

  1. Preheat your oven to 400u0b0F. Butter and flour a 9" square cake pan.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, vanilla and half-and-half; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the cake flour, baking powder, 3/4 cup sugar, salt and 1/4 cup cocoa. Stir in the chocolate chips, and pour the batter into your prepared baking pan.
  4. In another small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, remaining 1/4 cup sugar, and remaining 1/4 cup cocoa. Sprinkle over the cake batter.
  5. Pour the hot coffee over the batter/sugar and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the top of the cake is set (toothpick inserted just into the top 1/2 inch of the cake comes out clean) and the bottom is bubbling.
  6. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream! (Although it does taste almost as good the next day!)
