Hershey'S Soft And Chewy Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. In a large mixer bowl, beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add corn syrup, egg and vanilla; beat well.
  4. Stir together the flour, baking soda and salt.
  5. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating well.
  6. Stir in chips or bits.
  7. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned and almost set.
  9. Cool slightly.
  10. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
  11. Cool completely.
  12. Cookies will be softer next day.
