- 1/2 teaspoons Almond Extract

- (My heartfelt thanks to Bridget at
- for the cookie recipe and Amanda at i am baker for the frosting recipe. You guys are awesome!)
- Sift flour and baking powder together and set aside. Cream butter and sugar together, scraping bowl frequently.
- Add egg and extracts to the bowl and combine.
- Gradually add flour mixture and combine. Dough will be crumbly-knead it together with your hands when you remove from the mixing bowl.
- Roll out 1/4 inch thick on a floured surface and cut into 2"x4" brick shapes. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze 5 minutes.
- Bake 10-12 minutes at 350u0b0F.
- If the cookies spread a bit while baking, trim up the shapes with a sharp knife while they're still warm. Let cool completely.
- Using Amanda's Amazing Frosting recipe (found here on TK) mix the powdered sugar, corn syrup and milk, going easy on the milk. Add food coloring for desired color. Make a thick consistency to outline the cookies, then when you're ready to fill in or "flood," dilute the remaining frosting with a bit more milk.
- Top the cookies with 8 matching M&Ms to simulate the Lego studs.
- Serve them to your Lego-loving offspring and be a hero.
- (These 2 recipes-cookies and frosting-will make 14 2"x4" Lego Brick cookies.)
