Everyday Summer Pasta Salad
- 8 ounces, weight Bow Tie Pasta
- 1/2 cups Sliced Carrots
- 1 whole Cucumber (sliced Or Cut Into Cubes)
- 1 cup Grape Or Cherry Tomatoes, Halved
- 1/2 cups Frozen Peas, Thawed
- 1/4 cups Pitted And Sliced Black Olives
- 1/2 cups Diced Ham Or Meat Of Your Choice
- 1/4 cups Bacon Bits (real Bacon Pieces)
- 1/4 cups Sunflower Kernels Or Nuts Of Your Choice
- 3/4 cups Zesty Italian Dressing
- 1/2 cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Cook the pasta according to package directions, then drain well. Transfer pasta to a large bowl and add vegetables and meat. Sprinkle with nuts or seeds. Pour the Italian dressing over all and toss to coat everything well. Top with Parmesan cheese.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving, then store leftovers covered in the refrigerator. Keeps well for several days.
- Of course, this recipe can be changed up to suit your taste or make it one way today and next week, use different ingredients. There are lots of options to add to this salad. Mushrooms, broccoli, zucchini, different types of nuts, different types of meat, tuna, crab, etc. Also, you can change up the dressings to accommodate your whims. Enjoy!
