Orange Pineapple Delight Salad
- 1 sm. pkg. orange-pineapple Jell-O
- 1 sm. pkg. orange Jell-O
- 2 lg. cans pineapple, crushed (save juice)
- 2 lg. bananas, sliced
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
- 2 c. miniature marshmallows (optional)
- coconut (optional)
- Mix Jell-O per box instructions and allow to partially jell. Add drained pineapple, bananas, and nuts.
- Allow to completely jell.
- Mix 1/2 cup of pineapple juice, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1 teaspoon butter, 1 beaten egg, and 2 tablespoons flour.
- Cook slowly until slightly thickened.
- Add softened cream cheese while mixture is still warm.
- When cool, add 8 ounces of Cool Whip and spread over Jell-O.
- You may also add miniature marshmallows to the Jell-O if you like, and sprinkle coconut over top to make pretty.
