Grilled Cinnamon Pears With Tahini Cream
- FOR THE PEARS:
- 4 Ripe Green Pears
- 8 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
- 1/2 cups Chopped Pecans
- Cinnamon, For Sprinkling
- FOR THE TAHINI CREAM:
- 4 ounces, weight Greek Style Cream Cheese, Softened
- 1 Tablespoon Tahini
- 1 teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1/4 cups Raw Honey
- 1/2 teaspoons Bourbon Vanilla
- 1. Preheat your grill to low. Slice pears in half from the top to the bottom and remove any seeds that are showing.
- 2. Place pears cut side down on the heated grill. Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes or until tender. The green skin will turn a light brown color. Alternately, you can use a grill pan in the kitchen and cover with foil, or bake for 30 minutes at 350 F in the oven.
- 3. While pears cook, make cream. In a small bowl whisk cream cheese, tahini, lemon juice, honey and vanilla with a fork until completely incorporated and smooth.
- 4. To serve pears: Place pear, cut side up in bowl. Top with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and 1-2 tablespoons of tahini cream. Sprinkle with cinnamon and chopped pecans. Serve warm.
