Glazed Pork Chops
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 6 pork chops (each 3/4-inch thick)
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. water, divided
- 1 pouch dry onion soup mix
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 medium apple, cored and sliced
- Brown chops in skillet.
- Spoon off fat.
- Meanwhile, in cup, stir together cornstarch and 1/4 cup water until smooth.
- In same skillet, combine 3/4 cup water, onion soup mix and sugar.
- Add apples, stirring to coat.
- Heat to boiling.
- Return chops to skillet.
- Reduce heat to low.
- Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until chops are no longer pink.
- Remove chops and apples to serving platter.
- Keep warm.
- Over medium heat, heat sauce to boiling. Gradually stir in cornstarch mixture.
- Cook until thickens, stirring constantly.
- Spoon over pork chops and apples.
