Cranberry Apple Crisp
- 3 c. cranberries or 1 (12 oz.) pkg.
- 2 large apples (unpeeled), cored and sliced thin
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, divided
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 c. rolled oats (regular or quick)
- 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped (optional)
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- In large bowl, combine the cranberries, apples, sugar, cinnamon and 1 tablespoon flour.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 6-cup shallow baking dish.
- In same bowl (no need to wash it), combine the remaining flour, brown sugar, oats and nuts, if desired.
- Stir in the melted butter.
- Mix the ingredients well (should be crumbly).
- Sprinkle the oat mixture over the fruit mixture.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 40 minutes or until the crisp is lightly brown.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Serves 12.
