Yuletide Toffee Squares

  1. Heat oven to 400u0b0.
  2. Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan. Combine oats, brown sugar, margarine/butter, corn syrup, vanilla and salt; mix well.
  3. Firmly press mixture into greased pan.
  4. Bake about 18 minutes or until the mixture is brown and bubbly.
  5. Then remove from oven.
  6. Immediately sprinkle chocolate morsels evenly over toffee.
  7. Let stand 10 minutes; spread chocolate evenly over toffee and sprinkle with nuts.
  8. Cool completely and cut into squares.
  9. Store in a cool dry place.
