Debi'S Jambalaya(Start With Medium Fire)

  1. Grease large pot while warming pot.
  2. Add enough cooking oil to cover the bottom.
  3. Add onions; cook until very brown, about 30 minutes.
  4. Add bell peppers and celery.
  5. Boil chopped salt meat in a little water for about 20 to 30 minutes.
  6. Drain.
  7. Add to onion, pepper and brown.
  8. Add sausage; brown.
  9. Add shrimp; reduce heat to prevent sticking.
  10. Cook 5 minutes.
  11. Add rice and 2 cups water for each cup of rice (8 cups).
