Appetizer Pinwheels

  1. In a small bowl, mix cheese and sage. Unfold puff pastry; cut each in half crosswise. Top each half with prosciutto and cheese mixture to within 1/2 inch of edges; roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side. Wrap tightly in waxed paper or plastic; refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight.

  4. Rolls can be made 2 days in advance. Wrap rolls in waxed paper and place in a container; close tightly and store in the refrigerator.
  5. Freeze wrapped rolls in a resealable freezer container. To use, unwrap frozen rolls and cut into slices. Bake as directed.
