Cowboy Cookies
- 2 c. flour (all-purpose)
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. white granulated sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed lightly
- 2 eggs (large)
- 1 tsp. flavoring
- 2 c. oatmeal
- 1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate tidbits
- raisins or coconut
- Get flour ready, sift first:
- flour, soda, salt and baking powder.
- Cream shortening.
- Add white sugar first, then brown sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time.
- Mix well.
- Add flavoring.
- Add flour all at one time to oatmeal, chocolate tidbits, raisins or coconut.
- Grease cookie sheet.
- Drop with teaspoon.
- Bake at 350u0b0 until brown, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
