(Aunt Stormy'S) Spaghetti
- 1 qt. canned tomatoes (I use 18 oz.)
- 1 bottle catsup
- 12 oz. tomato paste
- clove of garlic
- 2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 green peppers, diced
- 1 can mushrooms (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- oregano
- Using a large pot, put in tomatoes and catsup (rinse catsup bottle with water).
- Add tomato paste (rinse can with water) and clove of garlic (cut up real fine).
- Let that simmer while you brown ground chuck in skillet.
- Add to large pot.
- Brown onion and peppers in butter and add to pot.
- Let it simmer from two to four hours gently.
- If it gets too thick, add a little water.
- If you like, add mushrooms to the sauce.
- I also like to sprinkle a little oregano in sauce while it simmers.
