Meat And Noodle Skillet
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground sausage
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. crushed dried basil leaves
- 3/4 c. tomato paste
- 3 c. water
- 1 can mushroom stems and pieces, undrained
- 2 c. wide noodles
- 3 Tbsp. crumbled Blue cheese
- 1/4 c. chopped walnuts
- In a large skillet lightly brown beef and sausage.
- Add onion, garlic, salt, pepper, basil, tomato paste, water and mushrooms. Stir well and add noodles.
- Bring to a boil and reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until the noodles are tender, stirring gently two or three times with a fork.
- Before serving, stir in Blue cheese and walnuts.
- Serve from skillet.
- Serves 6.
