Shrimp Casserole
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped green bell pepper
- 1 Tbsp. grated onion
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. curry powder
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 drops Tabasco sauce
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 2/3 c. milk
- 4 c. cooked shrimp
- 1/3 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- Saute celery, green pepper and onion in oil in saucepan until tender.
- Sprinkle with flour, curry powder, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce and salt.
- Cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in cream cheese until melted.
- Add milk gradually.
- Cook until thickened, stirring constantly; remove from heat.
- Stir in shrimp.
- Spoon into shallow 9 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Top with mixture of crumbs, butter and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 35 to 45 minutes or until bubbly and light brown.
- Yield:
- 6 servings.
