Italian Beef And Potato Casserole

  1. Brown chuck; drain and add onion, garlic, spaghetti sauce, water, basil, oregano, salt and pepper.
  2. Bring to boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Spoon 1/3 of meat mixture into bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan.
  4. Top with half of potato slices.
  5. Add remaining potato slices and remaining meat mixture.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake at 375u0b0 for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender. Remove foil; sprinkle cheese over casserole.
  8. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
  9. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
  10. Serves 6.
