Strawberry Cream Delight
- 1 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 3/4 c. chopped pecans
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 2 dashes salt
- 8 oz. soft cream cheese
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 8 oz. Cool Whip
- 1 pt. or more whole fresh strawberries
- 1 1/2 pt. chopped strawberries
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/3 c. water
- Mix first five ingredients well.
- Press into bottom of 9 x 13 pan.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Cool.
- Mix the cream cheese and powdered sugar together.
- Fold in Cool Whip and spread over cool crust.
- Arrange whole strawberries on top of filling. Combine chopped strawberries, sugar, cornstarch and water and cook on stove top until thick.
- Cool some and pour over fresh strawberries.
- Chill.
