Multi-Grain Bread
- 1 c. warm water
- 4 tsp. fast active dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 c. rolled oats
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. wheat germ
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cardamon
- 4 Tbsp. sourwood honey
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. dried apricots
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 4 1/2 c. Pillsbury bread flour
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- sesame seed
- melted butter or margarine
- Snip apricots; put in a bowl with honey.
- Stir; let set.
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water; stir until dissolved. Add salt, sugar and baking powder; stir to dissolve.
- Add buttermilk, rolled oats and wheat germ; mix well.
- Let set 10 minutes.
