My Mom'S Easy Caramel Rolls
- 1 frozen loaf white bread
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1 stick butter
- 1 pkg. butterscotch pudding (not instant)
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 heaping tsp. baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 c. dark brown sugar, firmly packed
- pinch of salt
- 2 c. flour, sifted
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. walnuts
- Put raisins into boiling water and baking soda; let stand to cool.
- Mix sugar, egg and salt together; cream for 2 minutes. Pour water mixture into sugar and eggs; turn speed to very low. Add flour and baking powder at one time; consistency is thick. Mix until flour is blended, then add nuts.
- Pour into 2 small greased loaf tins.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 45 minutes.
- Let stand 10 minutes to cool and take out of pan.
