Fruit Cake Cookies
- 3 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. bourbon (wine or fruit juice could be substituted)
- 3/8 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 2 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 3/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 lb. diced candied citron or mixed fruits
- 1 lb. whole candied cherries, half red and half green, quartered
- 1 lb. pecans, broken
- Mix raisins and bourbon and let stand 1 hour.
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs; mix.
- Add mixed dry ingredients and mix until well blended.
- Stir in raisin mixture.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes at 325u0b0.
- These keep for weeks or may be frozen.
