Jello Sponge Cake

  1. Blend in
  2. a large bowl 1 cup chilled water with package #1 (egg white from cake mix) at low speed for about 2 minutes. Beat attighest
  3. speedtntil stiff peaks form, about 7 to 10 minutes. Add
  4. cream
  5. of
  6. tartar;
  7. beat 3 more minutes (do not underbeat). Blend
  8. in another
  9. bowl 1 package pudding, baking powder and package #2 of cake mix.
  10. Make a well in the center of
  11. these
  12. dry ingredients.
  13. Add
  14. oil, 3/4 cup chilled water, eggs and
  15. vanilla; beat
  16. at
  17. high
  18. speed for 2 minutes.
  19. Pour mixturetontaining package
  20. #2
  21. over mixture #1; gently fold together until evenly blended.
  22. Pour into an ungreased 10-inch tube
  23. pan.
  24. Cut
  25. through batter
  26. with
  27. spatula
  28. to remove air bubbles.
