Hot Spanish Cheese Dip
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 tsp. garlic
- 3/4 tsp. celery salt
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. diced onions
- 1 (6 oz.) roll jalapeno cheese, cubed
- 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. margarine, melted
- Cook spinach according to package directions (omit salt). Drain thoroughly (reserve liquid, 1/2 cup).
- Melt margarine; add flour and stir until smooth.
- Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add reserved spinach liquid, milk and next 6 ingredients.
- Stir until cheese melts.
- Add spinach and mix.
- Spoon into lightly greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Combine bread crumbs and 1 teaspoon melted margarine.
- Sprinkle over spinach.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 minutes.
- Serve hot over crackers or raw vegetable.
