Sloppy Joes
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1/2 c. chopped green peppers
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1/4 c. beer
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 tsp. seasoned salt (optional)
- 1 tsp. oregano or more
- 2 to 3 dashes Tabasco sauce
- 1 c. chopped tomato
- hamburger buns
- Cheddar cheese, grated
- Fry hamburger and season with garlic powder and seasoned salt until crumbled.
- Drain and discard grease.
- With hamburger, add onions and peppers.
- Saute for 5 minutes; mix in next ingredients (soup, beer, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, Tabasco sauce and tomatoes).
- Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes (partially covered). Stir occasionally.
- Serve open-faced over heated buns.
- Sprinkle on cheese.
